With the social network trend pulling so many manufacturers into it’s grip, Sony Ericsson have included some Facebook features to please the general masses. The Neo will save all of the Facebook photos you have been tagged in to your in-phone gallery as well as pulling all of your friends’ profile information into the contact area of your handset.
It is important to note that the Xperia Neo is also part of Sony Ericsson’s eco-friendly GreenHeart range. Usually this means that the handset is on the lower end of the price and specification area, however we feel that the Neo is most definitely the winner of being the most advanced phone in the GreenHeart series to date, so you get the benefits of the eco credentials that you have an environmentally-friendly and high-tech phone.
Unfortunately there are some downsides to owning an Xperia Neo. Firstly, though we think that the Neo is an attractive handset, it seems to look a bit like the Arc’s ugly sister, being a bit on the plumper side. Though it is far from being a hideous handset, the Arc definitely does win the beauty contest.
We also found that the 3.7 inch touchscreen was a bit on the narrower side for our liking, leading to a more cramped experience in comparison to the Arc. The default virtual QWERTY keyboard isn’t the best available on the Neo, however you are able to download a more suitable keyboard from the Android Marketplace.
All in all there was little to complain about when we assessed the Sony Ericsson Xperia Neo. It is a more high-tech version of the popular Arc handset, featuring an excellent camera and media player, as well as being an incredibly attractive. Sony Ericsson have unleashed their potential by teaming up with Android and we can safely say that you can’t currently purchase a better phone for this price.
And if you like browsing, if you search the Internet for deals, you can find Android phones along with cashback deals. These deals are great if you're on tight budget as they offer you affordable monthly pay depending on your preferences of course.
