Samsung Tocco Lite Mobile Phone Review

When it comes to many budget phones, we find that a disturbing majority of them suffer from the tendency to cut vital features in the name of keeping the price down. In other cases, the functionality will suffer, either due to a difficult screen or a convoluted operating system.

Unfortunately, the Tocco Lite shows signs of this phenomenon. Is it right for you? Read on to learn more. We liked its appearance right away. Encased in quality plastic, you can get this phone in shades of gold, pink, silver, or black.

Its TFT 256K colour touchscreen, sadly, is resistive. However, when it comes to resistive screens, this one isn't nearly as bad as some. It helps that it's equipped with TouchWiz user interface. The screen aside, we like its finger friendly buttons and sturdy frame.

At 94g, it's also nicely light, yet compact, making it perfect for slipping into a back pocket. We were surprised by its TouchWiz user interface. Along with making the screen a bit easier to navigate, we found it also supports gesture locks, handwritten recognition, and more.

It's also nicely customisable, with plenty of options for arranging widgets and apps just how you want them. All in all, it's not an overcomplicated array of menus and commands—even newer users will be able to get a handle on it.

Samsung Tocco Lite Mobile Phone Review

The popular TouchWiz interface in android phones is becoming the function of choice nowadays and it is easy to see why - it makes any touchscreen phone deliver a quick response and this is just one of the many features you’ll love in the Samsung Tocco Lite, a dual band phone that Samsung are proud to introduce.

If we are being completely honest the majority of features available in the Samsung Tocco Lite are highly identical to that of the LG Cookie. On first look, it is virtually identical in sizes, pixels and colour definitions. The screen is a good size at 3 inches and features high resolution, so everything appears vivid and clear.

Unfortunately we were decidedly unimpressed by the Tocco Lite’s lack of 3G features. It has no Wi-Fi, no GPS, no EDGE, no GPRS, no WCDMA and no HSDPA, making it incredibly basic in comprison to other phones in this price range.

A plus point is that the interface allows quick access to social networking accounts like Facebook, MySpace, YouTube and Twitter, but this is little consolation to those who value or privacy and absence from the social networking boom. But you can also turn to the range of in-built games to make you feel like you’ve paid for something more than just a phone.

Samsung Tocco Lite gets better in every release, newer phones are expensive while a last month's release becomes cheaper. There are various ways to save money and you can get a affordable mobile phone deals if ever you want to buy one.
