Motorola Backflip Mobile Phone Review

The Motorola Backflip is arguably one of Motorola's best designs yet. Combine an awesome glass TFT capacitive touch screen, 528 MHZ in its speedy processor, a sleek, futuristic design, and much more and you have a mobile that is easily comparable with other high end phones. While its price tag is up there, we agree that it's definitely worth its steep price.

Its 3.1 inch 256K colour screen has a few goodies packed in as well. Along with being capacitive, and as a result beautifully responsive, it also comes with a Backtrack Touch panel, an awesome Motoblur UI with live widgets, an accelerometer sensor for auto-rotation, and a proximity sensor that allows it to turn off automatically when you don't need it, thus saving you on power.

Sound quality is a bit dim, but the addition of headphones helps enormously, and if you don't mind wearing them often while chatting or listening to music, its low sound quality won't be a problem. In addition to providing you with a 3.5 mm headphone jack, you also get an amazing media player, stereo speakers, and a wealth of different formats to consider, making it easy for you to upload a number of different songs.

While there's nothing ground breaking, and we would have liked to see an FM radio on its list of goodies, all in all its sound quality is quite good and provides you with all of the basics you need to enjoy your favourite music on the go. Combine 256 MB of RAM and 512MB of ROM as its internal memory with an additional 32GB via a microSD stick and you have a phone that has acres of space for you to store emails, texts, photos, videos, and more.

You also don't have to worry about saving space for your contact lists and logs; there is more than enough room for you to keep all of your contacts in order without slowing the phone down. However, its memory leaves a bit to be desired. This is a phone you'll need to charge daily, especially if you use it heavily.
