Released in 2010 the Nokia N8 is one of the most stylish phones to have hit the market in a long time. We immediately fell for the good looks it sported, with a slim build but sturdy rigidity that feels amazing in the hand.
Perhaps the most impressive feature of the N8 is the 12MP camera. All of the photos we took in both mixed and bright light were of the most amazing quality, with beautiful saturation levels and perfect contrast balance. You can also utilise the great range of photo editing features to create the best images possible that can be uploaded straight to the internet and social networking sites.
To be completely honest the on-screen keyboard is a bit of a functional nightmare, but the general responsiveness of the capacitive touch screen was really quite pleasing and we approved. Browsing was absolutely amazing, especially in comparison to that which was provided by previous XpressMusic models, with multi-touch zooming making for an altogether slicker online-experience.
If you’re after a budget smartphone that has good looks and plenty of decent features, the N8 is most definitely worth taking into consideration. More advanced users may prefer something more sophisticated though, as the lack of online integration may prove to be too much of a stumbling block that cannot compete with the up-market phones provided by other manufacturers.
