LG Town GT350 Mobile Phone Review – A Surprisingly Well Rounded Budget Phone With Basic Features

The LG Town GT350 is indeed lacking in some areas. However, if you want a fun social phone that won't break your wallet, this may be a nice choice for you if you'd like a spare phone solely for bringing to parties or for storing in your car for emergencies. Its vivid screen, great design, and quirky interface are all eye catching and wonderful. If its lacks and flaws are too much for you, however, there are plenty of others to consider.

The Town is available in purple, white, black, and silver, allowing you a fun mix between fun and quirky to sophisticated and businesslike. At 125g, it's the perfect weight, a good medium between feeling securely sturdy and strong without feeling brick-like or bulky. Its slide out QWERTY keyboard is a texter's dream—widely spaced, well defined, and easy to read, the keyboard is obviously designed with fast typing in mind. The only downside is that sometimes the keys require firm presses in order to register.

Its interface is a fun mix of silly quirkiness and practical straightforwardness. Oftentimes with animated menus and the like, we find that the designers' attempts to be frivolous and unique results in an interface that's chock full of animations and all but impossible to use. The Town, however, is different. It manages to be cute and quirky all on its own without being overly confusing. Its interface consists of four groups, allowing you to access your apps and widgets by theme. Some may enjoy this tidy way of organising things, while others may balk at it.

Unfortunately, there isn't a lot in regards to internet connectivity either. It doesn't have 3G or wi-fi, though you do get GPRS, EDGE, USB, Bluetooth, and a few others. This makes the social networking widgets that are preinstalled fairly useless unless you decide to access them from home. These include widgets that allow direct access to Facebook, among others. However, on the plus side, its quadband technology means you can use the phone wherever you like, and its luscious keyboard makes typing and texting a breeze.

If you browse a lot searching for phones, you'll encounter a lot of free mobilephone line rental offers and probably a contract phones with free gifts. These deals actually are good, if not the best, you just have to follow the deal closely for it to work.
