Samsung Galaxy Tab: An iPad Copycat or Does it Stand Out on its Own?

These videos stream really nicely too and there were no issues with playing and pausing. It was a real struggle to decide whether we should mention the camera in ‘the good’ or ‘the bad’ section. To be honest it really should be bad as it is a ridiculously small 3 megapixels, however it redeems itself somewhat by being able to take pictures that are actually quite good. It can also video at an impressive 30 frames a second so you’ll have lovely, smooth footage.

A great addition to the Galaxy Tab is that if you put a SIM card in, it works as a phone too. Though some people think this leads it away from the iPad, due to the size and shape of the Galaxy Tab you could just purchase an iPhone for a better experience. Also, at seven inches it’s not exactly great to make calls on, but you get a set of headphones with an in-line mic and call-answer button for wireless chatting.

The TFT LCD screen has a maximum resolution of 1,024 x 600 pixels, which isn’t the best around and you will find some blurring around icons and text. Though you are able to access a multitude of different apps at the Android Market, Samsung has decided to incorporate its own app store and a second store for games.

There isn’t much there and the best stuff is costly, so there is no rivalry in this section when you consider the broad range of apps available from the iTunes store. The Samsung Galaxy Tab has quite a lot to offer. If you would prefer to lounge around at home then you will be better off with the iPad, but for ease of portability the Galaxy Tab offers a great alternative.

When you're saving money and buy cheap phone, you might as well get a free laptop with mobile phone on the net. You can also check for mobilephone specs and their prices or just get a cheap Samsung Galaxy Tab monthly contract deal.
